Ingredients

  • 1½ tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 large brown shallots, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 1.5 cm piece of ginger, peeled and finely chopped
  • 300 g pork mince
  • 1½ tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp shaved palm sugar
  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 50 g (⅓ cup) roasted unsalted peanuts, chopped
  • 325 g sago
  • Soy sauce and coriander sprigs, to serve
